MFV “REJOICE”: duty of care, witness credibility and fundamental dishonesty explored

In a judgment handed down on 27 March 2019, the Admiralty Court offered clarification in relation to the duty of care in English law owed by skippers and shipowners to self-employed crew members, particularly those in the fishing industry. Also, it has provided an illustration of the relationship between Fundamental Dishonesty and witness credibility.
