Joanna has spent her entire career dealing with shipping and international trade. Starting with pupillage at a shipping set of chambers, this was followed by three valuable years at a leading P&I Club, before joining Bentleys, where she has been a partner since 1993. Joanna advises shipowners, charterers, insurers and shipbrokers across the range of contracts encountered in the shipping and marine insurance world, encompassing complex cargo claims, dangerous cargoes and general average as well as charterparty and shipbroking disputes.

In her spare time golf, bassoon playing and cooking compete for her attention.
