Michael studied law at Oxford Brookes University and BPP Law School, London having previously read Modern History at St. Anne's College, Oxford University.

He trained with a large city firm and whilst there, enjoyed a secondment to its Athens office where he gained dry shipping experience. On qualification Michael joined Bentleys, Stokes and Lowless in November 2009.

Michael is interested in politics and following his undergraduate studies was awarded an internship with the United States Senate where he worked as a researcher for firstly Senator Joe Biden's office and then a Government Affairs Sub-Committee under Senator David Akaka.

His other interests include literature, clay pigeon shooting and classic cars.
